First Line Friday – Deep Waters

Happy Friday everyone! I cannot believe it is the first week of July already! Wow, this summer is going by so fast. I decided to take a couple of days off around the holiday for a much needed break, but I think I ended up working harder! But that’s ok. It was good work – for home! Now normally I love taking time off, but this was different. It’s the first time I’ve had time off and my daughter wasn’t home. She’s 14 now and is working and volunteering this summer, so she is gone five days out of the week. Just like a working woman! I’m super proud of her, but it made me sad. My little girl is growing up, and while I loved spending time with my husband, it was a reminder of how things will be in a few years. I’m not quite ready for that.

But enough weeping. Oh wait, you weren’t weeping? Guess that was just me.

On to the good stuff. Today’s first line!! I’m sharing the first line of a book called Deep Waters. It is by someone who has a really cool first name. Jessica Patch. you cannot go wrong with a first name like that! 😉 This book is suspenseful, has a swoon worthy male character, and is fast paced. Hope you’ll check it out!
