First Line Friday – Multi-book Style!

Welcome to First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books! There have been so many good books releasing this week that I wanted to share more of them on First Line Friday! Last week I highlighted The Number of Love by Roseanna White. This week I’m going to feature not one, not two, but THREE books!! WOOHOO! I typically try to read books before they release if I have an early copy, but things have gotten in my way. So I hope to get these three read this weekend.

Book one. (I’m actually going to share the first line of Chapter 1, not the prologue….because I like it)

“When God created the world, he only afforded Michigan just so many good-weather days.”

FYI – I’m starting to think that about New York too!! It’s actually going to be nice all weekend 🙂 First time this year!

Book two. (I was sad to see the Orphan Train Series go, but this looks to be fantastic, to it makes it less of a sting)

Hang on a little longer, my lamb.

Don’t you just love this cover!?

Book three. (Anyone else adore Pam Hillman’s novels!?)

“Caleb O’Shea jerked awake to utter stillness.”

Sigh. Three books in one weekend. In a weekend full of editing, a wedding, housework, church, and being outside in the sunshine. Well, techincally I could read outside so that could work! We shall see my friends! I wish you all a weekend full of reading 🙂

Now it’s your turn to share your first line! Grab the book nearest to you and share the first line in the comments. Don’t forget  to check out what everyone else is reading at Hoarding Books!

Polly was sad yet excited. This very morning at the breakfast table, her father had told the family that they were moving to Texas.

Anyways, today on my blog I am sharing the first paragraph from A Noble Guardian by Michelle Griep. It’s a FANTASTIC novel. You can see my post by following the link: https://christianfictiongirl.blog/2019/06/06/first-line-friday-90/. I am just starting Murder at the Flamingo by Rachel McMillan, so I will post the first few lines from there.

“Heartbeat, Hamish. Assess your surroundings. Acknowledge the trigger point. Assure a corner for a quick retreat before the symptoms draw attention.”

Hope you have a great weekend. Happy reading!
