Happy Thursday friends! Welcome to another edition of His Encouragement where some blogging friends and I try to share a little inspiration to help you get through the week.
This week I just want to share something that is short, but has a big impact. It’s a verse I’m sure we are all familiar with, but I want you to look at it perhaps in a new way.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Did you notice how I highlighted the word whosoever? I think we tend to take that word for granted. We might see some people around us and think, wow God will never save them. Or maybe we have a relative who is so far away from the Lord we’re not sure they’ll ever see the light. Perhaps we see people living a sinful lifestyle and don’t think they can be saved either.
Shame on us! God says whosoever shall be saved. That means anyone and everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord. It doesn’t matter their background. It doesn’t matter their sin. It doesn’t matter if they had “religion” in their past. It doesn’t matter if they are not living for the Lord right now. Don’t forget, God saved us from the darkness. Knowing that He saved me makes me even more sure that He can save anyone. I know myself and how unworthy I am. But praise the Lord that He still loves me and calls me His child!
I encourage you to do this – if there is someone in your life who is not saved, start praying. Pray for them everyday. Pray for God to prick their heart and show them how much they need the Lord in their life. Maybe you are even so bold as to ask God to put them in a circumstance that requires them to rely on the Lord. Just don’t stop praying. God can and will save anyone. They need only call on His name!
What’s been on your heart this week friends? I hope you’ll share in the comments, and please don’t forget to visit my friends and see what they’re sharing this week!

I love how you say God saved me so He can save anyone. So true. This is a great reminder to check my ego and my pride!
God doesn’t want anyone to perish. He wants to save everyone! But He’s not going to force us. He loves us enough to let us choose. Anyone who calls on God will be saved. I’m so very thankful that God loves us and gives us the choice. I choose God every day!
I posted about assurance of salvation this week so our posts go quite well together! There isn’t anything we can do or be to deserve our salvation but it is a gift from God for those who call on Him. <3
