His Encouragement – Jeremiah 29:11

Hi friends! We made it another week. This week has actually been pretty good. Memorial Weekend was a blast with family and church family, and one of my faovrite authors had a new book released this week (Karen Kingsbury, To The Moon and Back). Whenever I hear the name Karen Kingsbury, one bible verse comes to mind. Jeremiah 29:11. She uses it in most, if not all of her books. It’s such a wonderful verse to fall back on. I don’t typically stray from the KJV Bible, but this happens to be one verse where I do like other translations. I think I should map this verse! Anyway, I hope this verse brings you the comfort and peace you need this week.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer 29:11 KJV

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jer 29:11 NIV

I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out – plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jer 29:11 The MSG

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jer 29:11 ESV

Any way you look at it, God’s going to take care of us. Isn’t that comforting?

  1. It is humbling to know that God thought of me from the very beginning. He has plans for me. WOW!!
He loves us so completely. He couldn’t love us any more, or any less, because His love is perfect!

It is very humbling to come to realization. I feel so unworthy, and yet He loves me even so!

  2. One of my most favorite verses ever. I love how you shared the different translations. Each one shows how wonderful and loving God truly is!!!!
