His Encouragement – No Worries

Hello friends! Welcome to His Encouragement, a weekly dose of biblical encouragement to help get you through your week! Make sure you check out what my friends have to say too. Let’s all encourage each other!

There is a lot going on in our world today that seems to have thrown everyone into a panic. I live in New York, and all of our state colleges are shutting down (well, switching to online schooling), some elementary/high schools are starting to close, events are being cancelled, and businesses are planning for what could happen.

I have to be honest with you. None of this worries me. Maybe I’m naive, but I am trusting that the Lord has a plan, even in this. I am not going to hide in my house and cut off the outside world in fear that I may get sick. Yes, there are absolutely people that should stay home if the virus has hit their area. I’m not downplaying that at all. But I am choosing to rely on God, His goodness and His grace to get me through.

Do you know what is great about the bible? It tells us that one day, we won’t have to worry about sickness anymore. It simply won’t exist. I’m holding on to that fact my friends. One day there will be no more viruses, no more fear, and no more panic.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rev 21:4

Let’s pray for the world right now. Let’s pray that this would cause the gospel to be spread and souls would be saved. Will you join me in this friends?

What’s been on your heart this week friends? I hope you’ll share in the comments, and please don’t forget to visit my friends and see what they’re sharing this week!

  1. I know that God has a plan and that we will never understand it. I know that God wants us to trust Him. I think I do, yet, I still find myself worrying about the unknown. Why do I still worry when my faith tells me God’s got this? I feel weak and pray that God carries me when I’m not strong.

  2. I may find myself panicking about a lot of things, but I haven’t been overly anxious about this. I’m actually grateful for it. I’m hoping and praying this all blows over soon.
