His Encouragement – Trust God

Recently I have been reminded of how important it is to trust in God’s timing. This verse is a good one to dwell on…..

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Psalm 62:8

I’ve had a health issue for years, sometimes I could deal with it, and other times not. I had a procedure done about a year and a half ago to help, but unfortunately it made it worse. So last year the doc and I decided it was time for the ultimate solution – surgery. But COVID prevented me from having it, until now. Prayerfully I will go in on Monday and get this taken care of once and for all. But it wasn’t an easy road.

I’ve struggled more over the past year with this issue then I ever have. I had to wait for the hospital to allow “elective” surgeries again. Insurance didn’t want to approve it.

At first I was a little disgruntled. But then I thought, I’m just going to trust that God knows the timing of this. He knows when I need this surgery, and if it happens on January 18th, then great. If it doesn’t, then I know He’ll have a better date for me. And since I changed my mindset to that, it’s been easy going for the most part. He has answered my prayers in big ways!

Now, there is still a chance it will get cancelled between now and Monday. But I’m just going to trust the God knows what He’s doing, and I’ll get the surgery when I need it most.
