Dr. Minirth, President of Minirth Clinic says, “Bound To Be Free is an exceptional book – Theologically correct, psychologically warm, physiologically health producing. I recommend it with enthusiasm. Christians around the globe need this book. Read it and be healed. This book is riveting, but more important, it is life transforming!”

Learn to live in FREEDOM. Free of the consequences of pain inflicted upon us, and pain inflicted by ourselves. God’s Word tells us true freedom is found in HIS word and presence. Christ’s desire is for believers to be transformed, not just saved.

Bound To Be Free leads believers step-by-step through God’s healing process and transformation. The study focuses heavily on scripture, as the only path to lasting restoration, and leads believers through the process of identifying and overcoming hindrances. This enables believers to achieve power in their daily Christian walk and show the transforming power of Christ in the church.

Our Father knows each person’s story. He knows how each one of us can overcome the pain and disappointment in our lives. While some numb the pain others walk through the fire, allowing The Refiner to mold us into the precious treasure He created us to be. Take a step in your journey to victory today

Hello Marta and welcome to the blog! I’m so glad you are here to talk about the writing process for your three Bible studies, Bound to Be Free; Leaders, Nations and God; and ACTs420NOW.

What your favorite Bible verse?

I usually quip, “The one I’m reading now.” I can’t narrow it down to one verse but a favorite is Philippians 1:6, “For I am confident of this very thing that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” This tells me I don’t need to be confident in my abilities but in God who created me and loves me. I am confident because He started the good work in my life and He will continue the process until I see Him face to face.

It is hard to choose just one when there are so many!! How did the facts in your books come together?

Bound to Be FreeI strongly resisted writing this study because I felt unworthy. I consider myself a Bible study teacher, not a writer. It came down to obedience or disobedience of the Lord. I knew the answer was, “Yes, Lord.” The “facts” of this book is actually the seventeen-year process of being discipled by the Lord as He transformed my life through His Word prior to putting pen to paper.

Leaders, Nations, and GodThis study was intended to be the introduction of what is now my third book, ACTs420NOW. However once I began, it became a book in its own right. This study surveys the history of the children of Israel—the Jews and how God interacted with them. As it continues, we learn how our nation’s foundation developed from the Christian values of our Founding Fathers. The study answers questions such as, “What kind of nation does the Lord bless … who is a leader … and, how does American history affect my personal life today?

ACTs420NOW Once at a conference I heard speakers from diverse countries with something in common, persecution because of their Christian faith. I felt certain the United States would eventually experience Christian persecution and believed the American church would not be prepared. God gave me seven principles from the first-century church that we, the twenty-first-century church, need in order to navigate the expected turbulent times.

What was your biggest hurdle in writing these?

Bound To Be Free – Surrender. This study concerns the process of believers surrendering to the Lord. But I needed to surrender in obedience to the Lord to write the book.

Leaders, Nations, and God was effortless to write. I normally labor over every word, but this study was poured out in less than six weeks.

ACTs420NOW was the most difficult of the three Bible studies to produce. I spent hours writing, rewriting and re-rewriting each lesson. My goal was to break the complex subject down into bite sized pieces that everyone could understand.

Do you like to write in silence, or with background noise?

Listening to Christian worship music at high volume as I write seems to drown out the rest of the world so it’s just me and my writing space.

My daughter does that when she’s doing homework! What are you working on next?

My current writing project is another Bible study, End Signs Like These. It explores Biblical passages of the signs that lead to the rapture of the church, the tribulation and ultimately the second coming of Christ.

That sounds interesting! Thank you so much for chatting with me today 🙂

  1. I enjoy author interviews! Funny that she likes to listen to worship music while she works. I wouldn’t be able to do that without singing along.

  2. Thank you for sharing your interview and book details. I have enjoyed reading about you and your work
