Please join me in welcoming Michelle Janene to the blog! Michelle is hear talking about writing, desserts, and what she’s working on next! First let me tell you a little bit about the second book in her Changed Hearts Series.
A struggle to earn forgiveness and find redemption.
A spoiled, irreverent, prankster, Prince Shane waits for the day he’ll wear the crown. Days before receiving his spurs making him a knight, Shane learns he isn’t his parent’s child. He embarks on a journey to discover the truth and keep the crown. But his search digs up an evil that threatens his family, and his very soul. Shane struggles to put things right and earn redemption.
Marg runs her late husbands tavern hidden in a distant corner of the kingdom. She’s trying to forget her past and the blood on her hands. She keeps people at a distance until the night she finds a near naked man left beaten in her pigpen. Nursing him back to health will change everything as God works to restore them both.

Hello Michelle and welcome! Can you tell us about your writing routine?
I teach full-time so much of my writing is done after school, on the weekends and during the summer. I participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Writers set aside November to write 50,000 of a novel. I have completed it the last 5 years. I start by editing what I wrote yesterday to get back into the story. Then I write as long as I can.
I see NaNoWriMo on social media every year and find it fascinating! I’m glad it’s been able to help you. If it were me, I’d be munching on something sweet while writing. Speaking of which, what’s you favorite dessert?
Anything chocolate, candy bars, ice cream, cake…
I’m with you there! What is your favorite bible verse?
Proverbs 17:28 “Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.”
That’s a good one! What’s one thing readers don’t know about you?
I am extremely introverted.
I find that to be true of a lot of authors I know! What do you want readers to gain from reading Rebel’s Son?
They are enough. They are seen and they are never alone. God has created them with unique talents, skills, and experience to do the work He has created for them to do.
Amen! I love this message. Can you share what are you working on next?
A Y/A fantasy in an alternate history where the 12 stones of the High Priest’s breastplate are separated and given to 12 faithful believers. The stones endow each person with a supernatural power of God.
Sounds exciting! Thank you so much for sharing with us today 🙂
