If you liked She Who Knows: A Tale of the Heart, you will enjoy this book. It was sweet to see Cassie and Zach get married and begin their life together. They were a great match for each other and really balanced each other out. I will admit that at times, I was kind of annoyed at how Cassie acted whenever Zach wasn’t around. I know it wasn’t because she was clingy – she wasn’t. She was truly worried about Zach because of her past. I think I just wanted her to focus on other stuff, like searching for more clues from her grandmother.
The hidden treasures became the who story to me. I found myself cheering Cassie on as she continued to search for what her grandmother left behind. The final mystery was my favorite – finding out how Cassie’s grandmother ended up with so much land. It was a really neat story, and I felt like I was with Cassie every step of the way trying to figure it out. It brought the story to life for me and made it so interesting to read.
The setting couldn’t have been any more beautiful an serene. I could smell the ocean, feel the sand, and hear the waves in the distance. Come visit 1960’s Hawaii and enter the search for the true meaning behind the mysterious letters. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review.
