Happy Mother’s Day!! I hope you get to do something fun, relaxing, and maybe some reading. Speaking of which, today I am happy to have the stop on Amy Clipston’s The Beloved Hope Chest Blog Tour with Celebrate Lit. It is very fitting, as it is the story of Mattie, as you’ll see, and she is a great mother in this series. It is only proper that the final installment would show you her past, and how it has shaped her into the woman she is today. So, mothers everywhere….. pull up a chair, sit back, and open the Beloved Hope Chest! I think someone else can make dinner while you read 😉

About the Book
Book: The Beloved Hope Chest
Author: Amy Clipston
Genre: Amish
Release Date: May 9, 2017
In the final installment of the Amish Heirloom series, the Fisher sisters learn the mystery behind their parents’ marriage—and about the sibling who has never been spoken of.
Mattie Fisher’s three daughters know that she’s been keeping a secret from them. With each item pulled from the beloved family hope chest, they’ve discovered a new clue about their mother’s past.
But there’s a reason Mattie has been keeping her history hidden, and she’s not sure she’s ready to reopen old wounds. Will dredging up the past change the way her children view her? Or her marriage to their father? And can she handle the pain of revisiting the memories that preceded the last few happy decades?
Mattie’s story is one of grief and learning to love again. But like the best things preserved in a hope chest, it’s a story of love and redemption born out of heartache—and it’s past time to share it.
My Perspective
Amy is such a beautiful writer. None of her books have ever disappointed me, and this one is no different. Of the four from the Amish Heirloom Series, this is by far my favorite, which I’ve said with each new release probably, but if you’ve read them all then you understand why. But here’s what sets this book apart from the others – the raw emotion shown from beginning to end. There is loss in the story in different forms, and you get to see inside the heart and soul of Mattie while she’s trying to deal with it. But you also get to see this side of Leroy that I was not expecting. No matter how frustrated he may have been in the inside, he had such patience and grace with Mattie and I found that to be so amazing. How many men would have responded like him!? He was so sweet, kind, and most of all compassionate. But there is a time where he makes an astonishing admission about something I didn’t really notice or think of during the book. But this didn’t lesson my thoughts of him, it actually made him even more enduring to me.
This book will draw you in from the very beginning. Be prepared to feel every emotion the characters do. Be prepared to cry. And be prepared to be surprised at how the three books tie to this one, in more ways than just the objects the girls found in the hope chest. Even the special basket makes an appearance, and I absolutely loved it!!! Please, please, please make sure you check out this book. But make sure you’ve read the first three books first. It’ll be worth your while.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am thrilled to share the The Beloved Hope Chest, which is the final installment of my Amish Home series.

This book is very close to my heart since it is the last in my Amish Heirloom series. I’ve grown to love the Fisher family, and writing Mattie and Leroy’s story was bittersweet. This is a very emotional story, and I poured my heart and soul into it. I hope you enjoy this book since it reveals all of the mysteries that have been placed throughout the series.
