Interview with Stacey

Welcome! Can you tell us what’s in your current TBR pile?

Lizzy and Jane by Katherine Reay (I loved her debut, Dear Mr. Knightley!)

Water from a Deep Well (non-fiction by Gerald L. Sittser)

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows

What’s your favorite bible verse?

My favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 10:31, “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” I love how this verse illustrates that every part of our life, from the simple to the great, should glorify the Lord.

What’s one thing readers don’t know about you?

Many of my fiction readers do not know that I am a seminary student pursuing additional education. I love to study theology and write non-fiction to encourage and inspire Christian women to mature in their faith and deepen their love for the Lord.

Do your characters ever talk to you at odd times?

My characters tend to talk to me while I am doing something that prevents me from stopping to write down their words. I’ve started using the voice recorder app on my smartphone. I have countless messages recorded while jogging or running errands. I’m sure some people think I am crazy talking to myself but carrying on both sides of the conversation.

What are you working on next?

I am working on the final installment of a trilogy of novellas set in the quaint Christmassy town of Mistletoe Meadows. I loved writing book one, Mistletoe Melody, which was inspired by two young women who endured unexpected trials. Book two, Mistletoe Mission, blends several personal experiences, including a trip to Haiti. I’m still drafting book three, and I am having so much fun wrapping up the stories of this beautiful place. I’m also working on a free devotional series that will lead up to the release of my next non-fiction book, Chasing Holiness, in August.

Thank you so much for chatting with me today!
