The Mosaic Collection – Interview with Hannah Conway!

Welcome to the Blog Blitz for The Mosaic Collection, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours! Everyday, for the past several days, I’ve been interviewing each author in the collection. Today is the last day, so if you missed any, be sure to go back and check them out!!

For His glory…
The Mosaic Collection is an international community of women authors who use faith-based fiction to touch hearts with the good news that Christ’s finished work on the cross has made us one family, and to nurture affection for the people God has placed within our circles of influence, so that the grace and glory of God may become visible and personal to everyone we meet.

…and our good
We are sisters, a beautiful mosaic united by the love of God through the blood of Christ. We have experienced the redemptive, restorative power of God’s grace in our marriages and families, and we believe our God is able to heal, restore and redeem our brokenness. His love fills us with the courage to persevere, and to offer others a Christ-like compassion that is full of His wisdom and grace.

Cornerstone message from the collection:

My cornerstone message is about freedom. Freedom from the past, from the messes, the mistakes, regrets, fears, and failures. As a military wife, freedom means so much to me, but as a Christian, I want to be as free on the inside as I am on the outside. This cornerstone message resonates with many believers. We say we’re free, but often we’re in that freedom.

Hi Hannah! I’m so happy to have you on the blog today. Let’s start with a very important question – what’s your favorite dessert?

Way too difficult! BUT, something ooey, gooey, and chocolatey!

Yes, that sounds just fine with me!!

If you weren’t an author right now, what would you be doing?

Probably stilling teaching.

We need good teachers in this world 🙂

What’s your favorite bible verse?

John 15:17–”This is my command: Love one another.”

Yes! I love this verse, even though sometimes it’s really hard.

What’s one thing readers don’t know about you?

I was Homecoming Queen my sophomore year of high school. After that, only seniors were allowed to win. Giggle.

Oh my goodness I’m talking to royalty 😉

You’re on a stranded island and you can only have one book with you. What would you pick and why?

While I totally want to say the Bible, I think I’m gonna have to go with some sort of “How to Survive on an Island” book ‘cause I don’t think I have the skills I need to be able to stay alive.

Ha! I’m right there with you.

What do you want readers to gain from reading this story?

That God loves them, has plans for their life, and wants them to live fully in His freedom! I also want them to laugh, and have a good time.

What a powerful message. Thank you for sharing that!

Do your characters ever talk to you at odd times?

Not so much odd times, but many times during long drives. I’ve had a couple characters talk to me during church on Sunday morning. I had to rush and write down the thoughts in the back of my notebook I keep with me.

Oh my goodness, I would be laughing if that happened to me, and then my minister would probably think I was laughing at him – during some serious moment or something lol.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve written notes on for a story idea?

I seriously wrote down an idea on a table on my back porch–like with a pencil, I literally scribbled out the idea on top of the table. I was afraid the idea would leave me before I could get paper!

Oh my goodness, this is hilarious. Maybe it could be a conversation piece at a dinner party 😉

Thank you so much Hannah for chatting with me today. I hope you’ll visit again!
