Top Ten Tuesday – The Overlooked TBR Pile

Posted by abakersp in Top Ten Tuesday / 5 Comments

Hello my reader friends. It has been forever since I’ve participated in a Top Ten Tuesday post, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. I missed the posts, but I didn’t miss the research behind them lol. It’s much more work then people realize, but I guess I’m a glutton for punishment because I’m going to come back to it, starting today!

I’m tweaking today’s topic just a little bit (Thank you Radiant Light for the idea!). The topic is Books on my TBR I’m avoiding, and honestly I am not intentionally avoiding any of them. But I AM overlooking them. Not purposefully mind you – it just happens. I have so many due dates on books I absolutely HAVE to review, that the ones I get to read for fun kind of get pushed to the side. I keep telling myself that I am going to stop signing up for reviews and tours, but then I see all the wonderful books coming out and I cannot help myself. I’m sure you know what that’s like, right!? 😉

The Medallion by Cathy Golhke

To Best the Boys by Mary Weber

Teal Paisley Tights by Barbara Brutt

Whose Waves These Are by Amanda Dykes

The Austen Escape by Katherine Reay

Fawkes by Nadine Brandes

Becoming Mrs. Lewis by Patti Callahan

Miriam by Mesu Andrews

The Mark of the King by Jocelyn Green

Thief of Corinth by Tessa Ashfar

Paper Hearts by Courtney Walsh

What books have been sitting on your shelf for a long time, just waiting for you to open them!? Have you read any of the books above? If so, please share your thoughts below!

Yes, it’s so true! And I have quite a few of those on your overlooked TBR pile on my shelf, too. I will get to them….someday. I have read the Medallion and it was good.

  2. I hope you find time to read all of these books soon. I’m starting to run into the same problem re: have to vs. want to read lists.

    My TTT.

I’m right there with you about books I have to read for review. I tell myself to not request mire books but there are sooo many that look sooo good and really turn out to be.
I have read Whose Waves These Are and absolutely loved it. It took a few trie# with The Mark of the King but I loved it too. I have th3 Austen Escape somewhere in my pile! I would love to read The Medallion and Becoming Mrs. Lewis. Can you tell I’m a Historical junkie?
