Wondering Wednesdays – Favorite Part of Christmas

Welcome to Wondering Wednesdays, a weekly post to learn more about me and other bloggers 🙂

Today’s questions is – What is your favorite part of Christmas?

Honestly, this is a hard question. I love every part of Christmas!! But if I could only pick one thing………….

Reading. Which I worded like that so it was only one thing, lol, although I’m really talking about two different things.

On Christmas Eve my daughter and I read ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas together. I have done this every year since she was born. It’s silly, and really at 18 she’s too old for it, but we still read it together. Just something sweet we do right before bedtime.

On Christmas morning, before we even get out of bed, we read The Christmas Story right out of our bible together. Sometimes I read and sometimes Caitlin reads it. It’s just a time for the three of us to pause and reflect on the real reason we celebrate Christmas – Christ’s birth. God literally coming to earth in human form. My mind cannot even fathom it, but I know it’s true because the bible says it is!

There’s so much more to Christmas that I love, but these are the two things that I really cherish the most.

What about you? What’s your favorite part of Christmas?

  1. Favorite part of Christmas is the candlelight Christmas Eve service. And realizing that Christmas is a time you can talk about Christ coming among us. If there hadn’t been a Christmas, there would not have been the Cross!
    Merry Christmas blessings!
