Wondering Wednesdays – My Favorite Thing To Do Besides Reading

Welcome to Wondering Wednesdays, a weekly post to learn more about me and other bloggers 🙂

Today’s questions is – what is your favorite thing to do besides reading?

I have to say, this is an easy answer for me. I adore reading, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not my only passion in life. First I must say that spending time with my family, and my church family, come first for me. But that seems like an obvious answer to me, so I’m going to choose my second love.

Baking.

I love baking all sorts of things. And in the past few years, I’ve started to train myself how to decorate cakes and cupcakes and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I am no pro by any stretch of the imagination, but I have fun with it. Plus Caitlin likes to help me, which makes the experience even better!

Here’s some examples of the stuff we’ve decorated!

Like I mentioned, I do love to bake all sorts of stuff. I do tons of cookies and fudge at Christmas for my family and friends. I love making pies, bread, donuts, pretzels, and so much more. Basically, the dream job would be to have a bookstore/bakery where I can just bake and talk about books everyday. Sounds dreamy right!?

So there you have it! I’d love to have you join me every week. To find out more information on this weekly post, or to submit a question for a future post, please visit Wondering Wednesdays. If you’re a blogger, please connect using the link below!

  1. Whoa! You’re amazing. The succulent cupcakes look just like succulents. And the flower cupcakes are so pretty. Such talent!!! I love cooking, but baking is not my thing. 😀

  2. I enjoy sewing and crafting.
I weave baskets and really enjoy doing that, plus I have something to show for it!!

    1. I’ve always wanted to learn how to weave, but haven’t found the time. How cool that you can do that!

  3. Great that you bake! They look yummy. We don’t keep sweets in the house, too much temptation.
I like to craft and sew for fun and to stock our store at Church and our annual craft sale. The proceeds go to charity. I also sew for gifts.

    1. They are very tempting, which is why I always make sure to share! I don’t need it all 😉

I love crafting too, but haven’t mastered the art of sewing. I wish I could….maybe one day I’ll get back into it and see what creations I can come up with!
