A Christmas to Remember Spotlight – Falling for Grace

Posted by abakersp in Spotlights / 0 Comments

Well friends, it is officially now my favorite time of year. Know why? Hallmark Christmas movies are playing, and I’m starting to read several Christmas stories. And speaking of Christmas stories, I want to tell you about a sweet collection of stories that just came out. It’s by a group of wonderful authors, and I’ll be spotlighting some of the characters over the next few days! WOOHOO!!! Today’s character comes from Janet Ferguson’s story, Falling for Grace.

Let me start by sharing the inspiration for the character.

Yeah, I’ll just let you stare at that for a moment. When you’re done drooling, wipe your chin and keep reading 😉

Here’s what Janet has to say about her hunky hero!

Hero Falling for Grace

Last October, I went to beautiful Santa Rosa, Florida, with some ladies for a girls’ beach trip. I heard a bit of construction on a deck nearby one day. The clear waters, the waves, the sunsets already had my writer brain sparking. I envisioned a woman coming to clear her head because her ex-husband had married her former best friend. Of course, she needed someone to cheer her up, so the guy banging around on the porch could look like James Marsden, right?

And the handyman could actually be part of a family that owns a huge hardware chain?

Yes, I’m a little weird. But these are the things I come up with on the beach!

The hero of Falling for Grace is named Seth Gibbs, and the sweet man is a bit broken. I don’t want to give away too much, but he’s suffered tragedy.

On a happy note, besides being a hardware guy, he loves to make things with his hands using all his tools and gadgets. He takes old metal and hardware to create something new. Sort of like God does with our messes and broken pieces.

Seth’s a believer, but he’s let his grief get him a bit stuck. It’ll take God working through a sweet woman to pull him out of the dark place he’s in.

My scripture inspiration comes from Isaiah 43:

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!

Find out more about Seth by reading Falling for Grace!

And just in case you wanted another look……

Yep. I don’t mind picturing him at all when I read this story!!
