Also, I am just about as giddy as can be to introduce to you today’s guest, Shaggy. Yes, our guest’s name is Shaggy. Shaggy is very important to Erin, as you’ll see below. But first, let me tell you a little bit about Practicing Murder!

About the Book

Practicing Murder by [Unger, Erin]

But after a run-in with a stalker who insists Maddie knows the secret that had Aunt Lonna investigating him, Mattie is afraid for her life and must accept Joze’s protection.

A Day in the Life of Shaggy the Half Broken Dog

Hey everyone! My name’s Shaggy and I’m a good old dog. They call me a Shih tzu. Not long ago, my family rescued me from a wild life in the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia. I was livin’ it up until things started to go bad for me. You see, I’m blind in one eye and deaf. That makes me half-broke. But Mom doesn’t care. She loved my mug of a face from the first day I came to stay with her. I’m getting old too. Ten. Can you believe it? But I still have a spring in my step from my pup days.

Mr. Miggle

I have it made at my new home. My mom lets me sleep until ten in the morning most days. I like late-night parties, so that works for me. We go for a walk first thing. Sometimes I’m still stumbling around when I get outside. It’s not easy to be old and expected to walk first thing in the morning. When we come in, I love a game of run and catch. She plays with me every morning. Keeps my spirits up.

Breakfast is the best meal. I love my soft kibble. Takes me back to the good old days. You remember Mr. Miggles? Well, he likes to tease me about my food. Thinks he owns the whole joint. But no matter, I keep him out of my food just fine. It’s not like he’d eat dog food anyway.

There’s nothing like a good nap to keep the old ticker working well while Mom makes weird clicking noises on this box thing. I think I heard her say something about being a writer. Not sure if I understand what that is. I like to sleep for several hours. My favorite place is either tucked up in my bed or in my kennel.

I’m going through this whole learning to be groomed thing. It stinks. But the upside is I get lots of bacon treats if I let them trim my face. At first, not even Mom could get close enough. But then my hair blocked even my good eye and I had to let her. It’s no good being completely blind! I’d rather suffer scissors time than not be able to see at all.

I have Mom wrapped around my finger. Wish Mr. Miggles would get a hint and see that I’m the king here—not him. She carries me out to the yard all the time for potty breaks. You heard right. I don’t have to climb down a single stair. I like this new life.

Because Mom’s a night owl, I get my party time in late too. But there’s nothing like a good snuggle before bedtime to make my dreams sweet.

Well, it was fun talking to you. Check out Mom’s newest writer thing called a book. Oh, and Mom wants to give away an eBook if you all comment below. Don’t forget your email so she can send it to you.

Our furbaby is 14 year old Snickerdoodle. He’s a chihuahua. He may be small but he owns EVERYTHING! He’s very generous because he allows us to use what we need as long as the belly rub keep coming and the treat jar is full. Sncikerdoodle is a diabetic now on two insulin shots a day and last doctor visit we learned he has a heart murmur too. Thankfully he has a great doctor and for now we are just watching it and making sure he doesn’t start coughing or retaining fluids. As the saying goes, getting old isn’t for sissies. Since I’m no sissy, I’ve got it made! 🙂

My mother I law loved chihuahuas. She had several. They do know how to rule the roost! Thanks for commenting!

I have no fur baby of my own. My husband is crazy allergic to almost everything (no joke) so we don’t have any pets. But my parents have a dachshund named Dexter and he’s my boy! He’s absolutely adorable with his short little legs and long nose. I love him! The book sounds great! Thanks for the giveaway!
