About the Book
Book Title: Dare to Dream Again
Author: Alana Terry
Genre: Christian Romance
Release date: May 8, 2018
Will love bloom just as sweet the second time around?
Losing her husband has taught Gloria more than anything else how to rely on God.
His grace alone gave her the strength to raise her children — a sweet angel with cerebral palsy as well as a daughter who wants nothing more than to serve God as a missionary on foreign soil.
Gloria couldn’t be prouder of her girls, but a future without them both by her side sounds empty and hollow.
When God thrusts a godly man like Derek into her path, Gloria isn’t sure she’s ready to jump headfirst into a relationship.
But maybe God’s giving her the chance for a happily ever after … a second time around.

My Perspective
Alana Terry is so good at giving readers a sweet, heartwarming story in a little amount of pages. I think that Dare to Dream Again is my favorite story by her. First of all, the characters are older. Not like grandma age older, but probably around my age older. I feel like there are so many stories about young people, or people in their early twenties, that us “older” people don’t get a lot of love! Second, the entire story takes place during VBS week. I think it’s probably one of the first stories I have read like this, so it immediately got my attention. I am a helper for VBS at my church, and it is a time of the year that I absolutely love.
The thing about Alana Terry is that she always comes up with creative settings and story lines. The fact that Gloria and Derek connected during VBS was both interesting and fun to read. The other thing about Terry is that she always writes well put together stories about the power of healing and moving on. She makes you think that you could do the same if you were in the same shoes. She gives you hope, peace, and maybe even a little push to keep on going.
I have to admit, the scene stealer for me was Gloria’s daughter. She was so sweet, but really able to make her mom go into new territory. I think parents who are about the enter the dating world are nervous of how their children will react. Sometimes it is our children that really give us the boost, or put us into a scenario that we can’t back out of and forces us to make that first big step. I especially like how her daughter interfered at the end of the book. I can’t give it away obviously, but it put a smile on my face.
This story has a little bit of something for everyone, and I highly recommend reading it. I, for one, am looking forward to what Alana Terry has for us next! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Alana’s passion for social justice, human rights, and religious freedom shines through her writing, and her books are known for raising tough questions without preaching. Guest Post from Alana
Hey everyone! Fall is here. Our family had a great summer. Everything in Alaska is gorgeous in the summertime. One of my favorite childhood memories that my husband and I have introduced our kids to is Vacation Bible School (VBS). With so many volunteers giving of their time to build relationships with each other and the kids who attend, it’s a week filled with so many great Jesus moments. I thought it would be fun to write a book about VBS. Dare to Dream Again is about two VBS volunteers who not only become friends, but just may dare to fall in love.
