Um….have you guys read The Montana Marshall series by Susan May Warren? If you haven’t, then stop reading right now. Seriously. You need to get yourself to the bookstore, or your kindle app RIGHT NOW and start reading!! In case you couldn’t tell, I kind of like them. Okay that’s the understatement of the century, but that’s how good they are. Today I’m talking about Ford, another swoony installment (book three to be exact). And just between you and me, take a peek at Wyatt. That cover……get your fan out girls!

Ford: The Montana Marshalls - An Inspirational Romantic Suspense Family Series by [Warren, Susan May]

Family…country…or the woman he loves…

Navy Seal Ford Marshall isn’t the kind to stand by and let a woman get hurt—especially when it involves his twin sister, RJ. So, when she makes the news, accused of sparking an international incident, he doesn’t care what it takes—he’s going to find her and bring her home.

But he might need a little help, so he calls on the woman who has had his back during the last three years—Petty Officer Scarlett Hathaway, former communications expert-turned Rescue Swimmer candidate. She’ll help him get into the country, watch his back, and…well, they might be able to have one last mission together before she leaves for a new life, a life he very much wants to be a part of now that she is off his team. Maybe he can convince her to give them a chance to kindle the spark that’s simmered between them for years.

Scarlett Hathaway isn’t sure what future she wants—not when she suddenly has to care for her little brother. Maybe she should quit the Navy and start a life with the man she can’t seem to get out of her heart. So yes, she’ll help Ford find his sister. And maybe, along the way, figure out if they have a future.

But finding RJ somewhere in the vastness of Russia with the FSB chasing them will push Scarlett beyond even her courage and make her question everything she thought she wanted…including Ford. What will it cost her to love a man who saves the world?

And when Ford is asked to choose between saving his sister, saving the world from a war, and rescuing the woman he loves…can he live with his decision?

The third book in the Montana Marshalls series will leave you breathless!

Amazon / Goodreads / Bookbub

I do not want this series to end! Each installment is better then the previous, even though it seems like an impossible task! Oh my goodness, the action, the romance, the suspense, the emotions, and hot dog those swoony smooches. Phew! You probably need a fan while reading this!

As with previous books in this series, you really get two stories in one. Here we get Ford and Scarlett, and Ford twin sister RJ and York (which by the way, um hellllloooooo York!). There is never a dull moment here, as is the norm when reading a book from Susan May Warren. I’m not quite sure how she has mastered the art of writing action packed romances, but she is the queen of it!

Ford just might be my favorite brother. He’s fiercely protective, and does some crazy stuff, but when it comes to Scarlett, I just want to hit him over the head! Her too for the record. Their friendship really is sweet, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship blossom in this story. What I enjoyed even more was their character growth. Scarlett never felt good enough, and Ford always felt like he had to prove himself. What they learn is that God will take us as we are. We don’t need confirmation from man that we are enough, or we’re doing a good job. We just need to look up.

I’m excited for a future story for RJ, but first we’ll get to see more of Wyatt (kind of see him as the underdog brother). This series has been so amazingly fun to read that I just don’t want it to stop. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – this is Warren’s best work to date! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Susan May Warren

Growing up in Minneapolis and attending the U of MN, I learned to love city life, although I’m a woodsy girl at heart. Or maybe I’m an adventurer — having lived and traveled all over the world, including Siberia Russia as a missionary for eight years. Probably that’s why my characters can’t sit still, and seem to get into one scrape after another — they’re too much like me! I love God, my family, my country, my church, and feel privileged every day to be able to write stories.

With over 1 million books sold, critically acclaimed novelist Susan May Warren is the Christy, RITA and Carol award-winning author of over seventy-five novels with Revell, Tyndale, Barbour, Steeple Hill and Summerside Press. Of her books, Publisher’s Weekly has written, “Warren lays bare her characters’ human frailties, including fear, grief, and resentment, as openly as she details their virtues of love, devotion, and resiliency. She has crafted an engaging tale of romance, rivalry, and the power of forgiveness.”

And Library Journal adds, “Warren’s characters are well-developed and she knows how to create a first rate contemporary romance…”
