His Encouragement

Hello friends! Welcome to His Encouragement, a weekly dose of biblical encouragement to help get you through your week! Make sure you check out what my friends have to say too. Let’s all encourage each other!

November is a time of year when we typically think about being thankful. But being thankful isn’t a one time event! Or even a one month event. God wants us to be thankful all the time.

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Psalm 100:4

We really do have so much to be thankful for, even if things seem down. Most importantly, we should be thankful for our salvation! We can know 100% for sure that we will be in heaven one day, praising the One who created us. How awesome is that!? We can also be thankful for God’s grace and mercy. There is no way I would make it through this life without it.

Of course I am also thankful for family, health, and all of that good stuff. I think sometimes we need to remember to be thankful for all the blessings that God has given to us – even though we don’t deserve them. Won’t you take a moment to thank God for all the good things in your life! If you do, I think you’ll find that your mind will start to think about the happy things in life rather than the situations that are bringing you down. 🙂

What’s been on your heart this week friends? I hope you’ll share in the comments, and please don’t forget to visit my friends and see what they’re sharing this week!

  1. I have a ton to be thankful for. God has blessed me big time. I’ve been making a concerted effort to begin my prayers with “Thank You.” It sets the tone for a grateful heart. I don’t my prayers to just be all about me and what I want. I want my prayers to be a better conversation between me and God, and that starts with “Thanks!”

  2. I happened to participate in the Top 10 Tuesday this week and shared about how I was thankful for the blessing that blogging has been for me. I never would have been able to imagine how many friendships would come from it and I’m thankful for His Encouragement each week and being able to encourage each other in the Lord and lift one another up in prayer. I’m beyond blessed <3
